ProFlowers Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

When a new baby is born and everyone comes to the hospital for a visit, sometimes the new mommy gets a little overlooked. Perhaps next time you visit a new baby in the hospital, you could take along some flowers to cheer up the room. Or if you're a long-distance friend or relative, you could send new baby flowers to the family to let them know you're thinking of them.

I had a chance to review ProFlowers for the Everything Mom and Baby Event, and I chose the Hot Pink Azalea. I like potted plants since they can be enjoyed much longer than fresh cut flowers, and it was nice that ProFlowers had some options for potted flowers.

A few thoughts:

  • Navigating the site was very easy. You can browse several different ways: by occasion, type of flower or plant, what's on special, etc.
  • There are plenty of options to fit everyone's personal taste.
  • I was very happy with the quality of the plant when it arrived. It had obviously been carefully packaged. The soil was still moist when I received it, so apparently it had been watered right before it was sent.

One winner is going to win a $50 gift code for ProFlowers at our huge giveaway event next month! To get a head start on extra entries, you can like ProFlowers on Facebook or follow them on Twitter. If you do, it would also be nice if you'd leave them a comment and let them know you found them at The Deal Scoop!

Disclosure: I was provided with a complimentary product to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Oregon Chai Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

Every new mom needs a chance to relax now and then, and Oregon Chai is the perfect companion to some down time. A more affordable alternative to picking it up at the coffee shop, Oregon Chai is just as delicious. I tried out the Original Chai Tea Latte Concentrate and was very happy with the taste and consistency of it.

A few thoughts:

  • Easy to prepare - no matter how much you want, just mix half Chai Tea Latte Concentrate and half milk.
  • Enjoy hot or cold - either way tastes great!
  • Inexpensive - One 5oz carton runs around $5.50 and makes two gallons. That's about the cost of one cup at a coffee house!
Oregon Chai Tea Latte Concentrate is available in several other flavors, including Slightly Sweet Original, Sugar-Free Original, Caffeine-Free Original, Vegan Original, Matcha Green Tea and Vanilla.

If you're on the go, you can mix up one of the chai tea mixes.

All of these products are available to purchase online at oregonchai.com.

Stay tuned for our huge giveaway event next month because 3 winners will each receive their own carton of the Original Chai Tea Latte Concentrate! To get a head start on extra entries, you can like Oregon Chai on Facebook or follow them on Twitter. If you do, it would also be nice if you'd leave them a comment and let them know you found them at The Deal Scoop!

Where I Get Free Stuff: Vocalpoint

Vocalpoint
Vocalpoint is one of my favorite places to receive free products and coupons. I receive offers all the time for free products to try or high-value coupons. Many times I will be surprised by finding a freebie in my mailbox without even knowing it was coming!

Normally I suggest signing up for freebies, etc. with a "junk" email address so that you're not inundated with emails. However, Vocalpoint will send you more products the more active you are on their site. If you're forgetful like me you may want to use an email address that you check regularly so that you're reminded to check in to the site to see what special offers they have!

The GoodOnYa Bar Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

Mommies need to eat healthy foods in order to have the energy they need to take care of their children. Sometimes it seems that there is just not enough time to prepare a healthy snack, but the options for something on-the-go are very limited without giving up good nutrition.
The GoodOnYa Bar is something mom can grab in a hurry to keep her energy level up, and she can feel great knowing that she is eating only the best organic ingredients.
The GoodOnYa Bar is available in 3 different flavors - Breakfast, Peanut Butter Honey, and Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate.
  • The Breakfast Bar contains 28% of the recommended daily allowance of fiber.
  • The Peanut Butter Honey bar was created after the folks at the GoodOnYa Bar had searched out the best peanut butter in the world. The peanuts are grown in New Mexico. Because of the very dry climate, the peanuts do not contain aflotoxin, which is an allergen present in most other peanut butters.
  • The Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate is created from a combination of the same best peanut butter in the world, 70% dark chocolate, and raw honey. Now you can eat peanut butter and chocolate that doesn't make you feel guilty!
All of the flavors of The GoodOnYa Bar are Non GMO, contain no soy or dairy and are gluten free.

The GoodOnYa Bar can be purchased online. Stay tuned because one winner will win a sample pack from The GoodOnYa Bar at our huge giveaway event next month! To get a head start on extra entries, you can like The GoodOnYaBar on Facebook or follow them on Twitter. If you do, it would also be nice if you'd leave them a comment and let them know you found them at The Deal Scoop!

Babiators Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

How many pairs of sunglasses has your toddler broken? My little boy broke his first pair, and I haven't gotten him another pair because I knew the same thing would happen again...and again...and again. That is, until I found out about a new product called Babiators!

I don't normally get that excited about little things like sunglasses, but if your toddler wants a pair of sunglasses, you need to buy Babiators for them! Because they are made of rubber, your child could hardly break them if they tried! Believe me, I know! See that cute little smile? Right before this photo was taken, that smile was a mischievous grin as she bent the frames in every direction possible.

The folks at Babiators are so confident in their sunglasses that they offer a one-year guarantee.

Besides the fact that Babiators are virtually indestructible, they offer 100% protection against UVA and UVB rays. They are BPA and phthalate free as well, since we all know that babies put everything in their mouths!

Babiators are available for ages 1-3 and for ages 3+ and can be purchased online.

If you want to keep up with all the latest news from Babiators, be sure to follow them on Facebook or Twitter!

Miss Lucy's Monograms Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

If you are looking for personalized gift ideas, you should check out Miss Lucy's Monograms! I think they carry just about everything under the sun that can be personalized - purses, totes, duffle bags, Bible covers, blankets, aprons, towels...I could go on and on, but you'll just have to take a look for yourself!

I received a Red and Black Polka Dot Quilted Diaper Bag to review, and I am very pleased with the quality of both the bag and the monogramming. The diaper bag also comes with a matching changing pad and pouch. There are lots of pockets on both the inside and outside of the bag, making it easy to organize it the way I want it.

I love the fact that they have lots of options for the monogramming. You can choose the color, font, and style. There are lots of options so that every person will be able to make their product fit exactly with their personal tastes. When you make your monogram choice, you can see an example of the entire alphabet in each particular font so that you know exactly what your particular letters will look like.

Stay tuned for our huge giveaway event next month because one winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to Miss Lucy's Monograms! To get a head start on extra entries, you can like Miss Lucy's Monograms on Facebook. If you do, it would also be nice if you'd leave them a comment and let them know you found them at The Deal Scoop!

SinuCleanse Kids Mist Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

One of the least fun things for a parent to do is to try to loosen up their baby or child's sinus cavities with saline solution. I don't imagine it's very much fun for the child either to have a foreign object stuck up his nose and liquid squirted into it.

SinuCleanse Kids Mist makes the process of cleaning the sinuses much easier on both the child and the parent. The nozzle does not have to be put inside of the nose, but rather held right at the opening of the nose. Each press of the pump emits a pre-measured dose of saline solution in a fine mist. The whole process is much more comfortable for the child.

SinuCleanse Kids Mist is not only easier and more comfortable to use, but it is also safer than other types of saline solution as well. It contains no preservatives which can damage the sensitive lining of children’s noses, and it cannot be contaminated due to its anti-backwash valve. Cleaning is easy since the unit is dishwasher safe.
Also, the fact that the product does not have to be inserted into the nose ensures that no injury can occur from a nozzle that is inserted too far into the nose.

SinuCleanse Kids Mist is available to purchase online, at various retailers from the Kroger family, or at Walgreens.

Stay tuned for our huge giveaway event next month because one winner will receive a SinuCleanse Kids Mist unit which includes a three week supply of solution. To get a head start on extra entries, you can like SinuCleanse on Facebook. If you do, it would also be nice if you'd leave them a comment and let them know you found them at The Deal Scoop!

Where I Get Free Stuff: Expo TV

Expo TV is a great place to earn prizes and test products.

All you have to do is create an account, and soon you will start receiving invitations to review different products. Most of the products that I get invited to review are products that I already have around my house that I've gotten free with coupons (Various brands of dish soap, shampoo, cereal, etc.)

Each invitation is worth a certain number of points, which you receive after you have completed the review.

Each review is a one-minute video review of the product. It's very quick and easy to do, and your points can then be redeemed for prizes and gift cards. My favorite prize is gift cards for Amazon.com or CVS. Reviews generally are worth around 500 points each, and you can get a $5 Amazon.com gift card or CVS gift card for 600 points. Remember, these videos are only one minute long, and you're earning almost $5 each!

Besides earning the prizes or gift cards, occassionally I get invited to a Tryology program. This is where they actually send a free product to your home in exchange for your doing the review. Examples of some of the Tryology programs I've been invited to are Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner and Tide detergent. Some people get to try bigger products like printers and electric shavers!

If you're not sure how you feel about doing video reviews, don't worry! I didn't like it at first either, but after I'd done my first one, I realized it wasn't so bad. Plus, I love the fact that it's such a quick way to earn Amazon and CVS gift cards - even easier than Swagbucks!

Super Baby Food Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

When I received my Super Baby Food book in the mail, the first thing I realized is that this book contains much more than I thought it would! I wasn't expecting it to be so huge! (It's 593 pages long!)

There are a multitude of topics covered in this book, all of which are extremely practical.

  • The book starts out with advice on when and how to begin solid foods. Along with what you would think it would say (how long to wait until you start solid food, what foods you should let your baby have first, etc.) , the book also contains everything else possible that could come under the category of feeding your baby. I have never seen a more thorough book on baby advice!

  • There are thoughts on everything from eating equipment to how to store leftovers. You will find out what foods are most likely to trigger allergies and how to identify the signs of an allergic reaction.

  • You will be instructed on safety in the kitchen. Choking hazards, burn prevention, and dental problems are addressed.

  • How much should your baby be eating or drinking? How do I ensure he is getting the proper amount of vitamins and minerals? How do I wean my baby? When and how will he learn to eat by himself? Any question you can think of (and a whole lot more that you didn't think of!) will be answered in Super Baby Food. And that's just the first part of the book!

  • The book then goes on to instruct parents what to feed their baby at each age and stage of development to ensure optimum nutrition. There are worksheets included to help you keep track of your child's diet. There are sample menus and tips on the best places to buy the foods you need for your baby.

  • You'll learn how to prepare and store homemade baby food, and there are recipes galore!

Exergen TemporalScanner Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

The Exergen TemporalScanner is one of those things that is so nice to have! I can use it to get an accurate reading without having to try to keep my little one still. It's so quick and easy that I can even use it to take my kids' temperature while they're asleep!

It takes just 2 seconds for the TemporalScanner to get a reading. All I have to do is slide it across my child's forehead while holding down the button. When I let go, the temperature is displayed as a digital reading.

The temporal artery, which runs across the forehead, is directly connected to the heart via the carotid artery. It is from the naturally emitted heat over top of this artery that the TemporalScanner is able to take its reading. Tests show it is accurate to within +0.2ºF, which is more accurate than a reading taken any other way, and certainly much easier for both the parent and the child!

There is no need to sterilize the thermometer between uses or change out any type of cover. It uses one 9 volt batter, which is included in the package.

I think the Exergen TemporalScanner is a wonderful investment for any parent to make. Having a sick child is stressful enough, and the TemporalScanner will help make things much easier on you and your child.

The Exergen TemporalScanner is available at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Costco, Babies R Us, Toys R Us and Sam’s Clubs nationwide with a suggested retail price of around $50.

One winner will receive an Exergen TemporalScanner at our huge giveaway event, so stay tuned!

Rhoost Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

Many parents are concerned about the safety of their babies and toddlers, but cringe when they think about how some of the baby-proofing products will look in their home. Rhoost
has designed a line of baby-proofing products that are both functional and stylish.

The Rhoost Edge adjusts to fit the corners of any of your household furniture that is 1/2" to 1 1/2" thick. Since it is made of BPA-free, PVC-free, lead-free, and phthalate-free material, you don't have to worry if your little one decides to take a taste test.

The Rhoost Sling connects to the doorknobs of your cabinets to keep little hands out of things they shouldn't be touching. The Sling can be adjusted to quite a wide range of sizes, which means that it should fit just about any set of doors on which you may want to use it. I'll be honest here and say that I find it quite difficult to get on and off, which is quite frustrating if you're using it on a cabinet that gets used frequently. That was the major downside of the Sling for me.

Although I did not receive samples of it, Rhoost also produces the Rhoost Decoy, which is a stylish way to cover your outlets.

All of these products are available for purchase at Rhoost.com. Also, one of my readers will win a set of Rhoost products in our huge giveaway event next month, so stay tuned!

To get a head start on extra entries, you can like Rhoost on Facebook or follow them on Twitter. If you do, it would also be nice if you'd leave them a comment and let them know you found them at The Deal Scoop!
