Harris Teeter Super Doubles November 2 - 8, 2011

Harris_Teeter_Super_Doubles
Harris Teeter will be having Super Double Coupons November 2 - 8. Coupons with a face value of up to $1.98 will be doubled, with a limit of 20 per household per day.

I have posted the match-ups in a Google Document which will allow you to sort the list according to your own preference - by price, insert date, or aisle of the store.

-The Master List is what will come up when you initially click on the link to the document. This is what you want to look at if you keep checking back to see if I've added anything new. Anything new that has been added to the list will be at the bottom of the Master List spreadsheet. ( I may or may not have time to add them to the other lists.)

-At the top of the spreadsheet you will see options to sort by price, by coupon source, or by aisle.

  • If you're the type that likes to shop according to what will be the cheapest, you'll want to sort by price. The list is sorted by the least expensive to the most expensive.

  • If you like to file your coupon inserts whole and only cut out the coupons when you need them, you'll want to sort by insert. The coupons are listed in order by insert date with printable coupons and other sources included as well.

  • If you want to print out a list for the store, you can sort by aisle to make your trip through the store go a little faster.

Click here to view the document.

I will be adding most of the deals Tuesday afternoon when Harris Teeter updates their prices, but please feel free to leave a comment if you find any deals not listed.

Don't forget to subscribe to The Deal Scoop in a reader or by email to receive regular updates on more great deals like this!

Elonka Nichole Diaper Bag Review and Giveaway

If you're looking for a high quality hand made diaper bag, let me direct you to Elonka Nichole.  I received one of their hand made diaper bags to review, and it is absolutely beautiful!  I am so impressed with the quality of it too - it's not going to wear out any time soon!  The fabric is nice and thick, very obviously great quality, and the construction is sturdy.  There are several lovely options of fabric from which to choose, so you're bound to find one you love!  Pockets on both the inside and outside are a big help in keeping all the little odds and ends organized.  The strap is a comfortable length - not too long where it bangs against your leg, and it is fairly wide which is more comfortable to me than a skinny strap.  A GREAT feature about this bag, too, is that it is machine washable.  Sometimes when I think about where the diaper bag has been sitting I kind of get grossed out.  I feel much better knowing that I can put this baby in the wash and get all those germs off!

Buy it!

You can purchase this bag as well as several other beautiful baby items by visiting ElonkaNichole.com.

Win it!

Elonka Nichole is generously offering a diaper bag as well as an Original Mimi blanket to one of my readers!  Together, this is a retail value of $115!

To enter, just complete the form below.  The only required entry is to fill out your name and email, but feel free to do as many of the other entries as you'd like.  Each thing you do will get your name in the hat another time!
(If you can't see the form, click the "Read More" button.)

Earn Money For Shopping at Walmart? Yes, Please!

Have you heard of Endorse?  You can earn cash back for shopping in-store and buying the products you would normally buy.

All you do is add the App to your Facebook account and click "Endorse" on any store or product that you like.  (My favorites are Walmart, Harris Teeter, and CVS!)

Endorse then sends you pre-paid mailers and you stick your receipts in and send them back.  Then they put 10% of your purchase price into your account.  When your account reaches $25, you get paid!

So for instance if you go to Walmart and spend $100, you'll get $10 back!  Plus, if you get 5 of your friends to Endorse the same product you did and send in their receipts, you'll get your complete purchase price back!

I've already sent in a couple receipts just to try it out, and I'm getting cash back for my purchase price at Harris Teeter and CVS as well as Huggies diapers! How awesome is that!

I'd love to know if anyone else tries it out!

Kolcraft Preferred Position 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleeper {Review}

As many of you know, our family recently added baby number three to the mix.  We always keep our newborns in our bedroom until they are sleeping through the night regularly.  With our other two we used a pack and play with a bassinet attachment.  We live in a small house, however, and our room always seemed so crowded with that huge pack and play in there.  I have immensely enjoyed using Kolcraft's Preferred Position 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleeper with this baby.

There are SO many things that I love about this bassinet!  To keep the review simple and easy to read, I'm just going to write them all out as a list:

  • The bottom can be adjusted to either rock or roll.  As you can see by the picture above, there are casters on the bottom so you can easily move it from place to place.  However, you can move the casters up so that it rests on the rocking bottom.  When baby is fussy you can start rocking him!
  • Choose between letting baby sleep on the flat surface or inclined.  The incline is just an insert that clips on top and cradles baby almost like a hammock. Since he is buckled in he will not slide down.  It also has a soft head rest.
  • A nice large basket underneath gives plenty of out-of-sight storage space for diapers, burp cloths, etc.
  • Neutral colors mean I can use it for either a boy or girl if we have any more kids.
  • Very easy to assemble - I did it all by myself with no help from hubby! :)
  • It comes with a "Light Vibes" attachment that clips onto the side of the bassinet.  You can play soft music or nature sounds or even turn on vibration to help baby get to sleep.  It also has a dim light which is great for finding the pacifier in the dark.
  • The volume of the music can be adjusted up or down.
  • The speed of the vibration can be adjusted as well.
  • Both the music and vibration turn off automatically after a few minutes.  I love the fact that I can turn them on at night and not have to worry about them staying on and running down the battery.

I have used pretty much every single feature on this bassinet.  I love it!  (I just hope the baby doesn't get so spoiled that he thinks he's going to get music, vibration, and rocking motion once he moves into a crib!)

The Preferred Position 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleeper is available to purchase at Babies R Us stores and the Babies R Us website.  At $139.99 I feel it is priced very reasonably considering all of the features it includes.

Thanks to Kolcraft for providing the bassinet for us to review.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Pillsbury Sweet Moments Giveaway

As a stay-at-home mom of three small children, my days can be pretty hectic.  I love being home with my children, and spending time with them all day, every day.  But there are times when I just need a little time to slip away and enjoy some time to myself.  I try to get all three kids down for naps at the same time so I can have a few minutes of quiet.  (It doesn't always happen, but it's lovely when it does.)

For some reason, chocolate often ends up being a part of those quiet moments.  Pillsbury sent me a package that included coupons for 2 free coupons for Pillsbury Sweet Moments, a leather journal, a coffee mug, and a fleece blanket.  I'm enjoying using them for some time to myself (especially the chocolate!)

If you're not familiar with Pillsbury Sweet Moments, they are bite-sized flavored brownies covered in chocolate.  They come in flavors like Cocoa Fudge Escape and Cocoa Caramel Obsession as well as their two new flavors Caramel Brownie Cheesecake and Raspberry Brownie Cheesecake.  Who wouldn't love that?

Win it!

One of my readers will receive the same luxurious package that I did.

Earn Money Online with iRazoo

I've posted about iRazoo in the past, but I wanted to mention it again because they've changed how it works a little bit.  Basically it works like Swagbucks (if you're not using Swagbucks, you need to be!)

Use it as your search engine, and every so often you randomly win points.  You can then redeem your points for gift cards to Amazon.com, CVS, Sears, and more.  You also earn points when  you refer friends, and every time they win points, you receive an equal amount into your account.

To increase your chances of winning points, type everything you do into a search.  For instance, if you were planning on taking a look at The Deal Scoop, instead of coming directly to the site, go to iRazoo or Swagbucks and search for "The Deal Scoop".  It's very possible that you'll win points!

Between iRazoo and Swagbucks I always have free gift cards for Amazon!  It is so nice not to have to pay for things I need or to be able to get special things that I normally wouldn't buy.

Sign up for iRazoo here and Swagbucks here.

Oh, and by the way, you can start out with 55 free iRazoo points when you use the codes iphone4s (expires 10/7 7:26 am EST) and Stevejobs (expires 10/6 11:59 EST)
Look under the "Earn Points" tab and click on "Treasure Code" to enter the codes.

#NutritionPossible with Centrum ProNutrients Probiotic

I've struggled with some stomach pain ever since my little guy was born six weeks ago, so I thought that taking a probiotic would be perfect to help work out all the little bugs in my system.  Centrum has developed a new line of supplements called ProNutrients that are designed to work as supplements to your daily vitamin routine.  Since I have some prenatal vitamins left over, I've still been taking those every day.  Hopefully the probiotic will add a little more oomph and kick out any bad stuff that's hanging around in my system.

I headed out to Walmart a couple days ago in search of the Centrum ProNutrients probiotic.  (Of course, I made sure I printed off a coupon first!)

The probiotic comes in little packets as a flavorless powder.  It can be sprinkled on your food or mixed into a drink.

You can take a look at my shopping trip below.

Have you ever used a probiotic?  How did it help you?

If you've never tried a probiotic before, be sure to head over to the Centrum Facebook page for a $3 coupon!

OxiClean Review

I have a 4 year old, a 2 year old, and a newborn in the house.  Let me tell you, stains are a regular part of our routine!  It seems like my 2 year old manages to get food everywhere except on her bib when she eats.  Occasionally I make my 4 year old still wear a bib when he eats, but he usually tells me "Mommy I will eat very carefully," and I relent.  I'm sure you can imagine how that usually ends up.  My newborn son isn't exactly a messy eater; it's after he eats that's the problem if you know what I mean. :)

I usually spray the stained clothes with a laundry pre-treater and throw them in the washer.  The chances of the stained item actually coming out clean are about 50/50.   I take all the clothes that are still stained and put them in a pile to let my husband figure out what to do with them.  He's got a lot more patience than I do and will try anything and everything to get stubborn stains out.  He's also a perfectionist, and is convinced that he sees stains that I can never see.

I recently received a 3 lb tub of OxiClean® Versatile Stain Remover Powder and a 4-gallon soaking bin for review, so I waited for the next available opportunity to try it out.  I had my opportunity within just a couple hours.  (I told you stains are a regular part of life around here!)

I didn't take pictures because the stains were a result of my newborn's diaper blowout.  I didn't really think you wanted to see.  :)  But I'll tell you that his shirt, pants, and boppy cover were a nice shade of orange.  All I did was put them in the soaking bin along with the proper amount of OxiClean powder and let them sit until I was ready to do a load of laundry the next day.  I washed them like normal, and all three items came out pristine with not a hint of a stain.  No scrubbing was needed - the OxiClean did all the work!

I have since been adding the powder to the washing machine, and my husband has been impressed with how well the colors of our clothes have brightened up.  That's saying a lot because he's hard to impress!

OxiClean® Versatile Stain Remover Powder also works around the house on carpet and upholstery as well as hard surfaces.  Since it has worked so well for my laundry, I'm hopeful that it will do great on other household stains too!

I think my husband is glad that the OxiClean® Versatile Stain Remover Powder works so well too.  From now on I'll be throwing the stained laundry in the soaking bin and letting the OxiClean do its work.  No more piles of stained clothes for him to mess with!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of OxiClean and received OxiClean items to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
