Freebies In-Store: School Supplies and More

Staples has Bic mechanical pencils on sale for just 25 cents this week. Use the coupon here for $1 off any 2 Bic stationery products to get two packs for free! (Since they are only 25 cents each, you may even be able to use the coupon to get 4 packs free.)

While you're at Staples, you may want to pick up some cheap Expo markers. They're on sale for $1.50, and you can use the $1.00 coupon here to get them for $.50 a pack!

I also noticed that K-Mart has the mechanical pencils for $1 this week. If you were able to print off the coupon from the Bic website for $1 off, you can get the pencils free at K-Mart too!

Walgreens has Scotch Bubble Mailers priced at $.39 each this week. Use the $.50 coupon from the 7/26 Redplum to get them free! The coupon will probably need to be adjusted down, just to give you a heads up. (Thanks, Money Saving Madness!)

I have been taking paid surveys from mysurvey.com for about a year now. I just looked out of curiosity to see how much money I have made from them in that year's time - it was right at $200! That's not bad, considering that their surveys are generally very easy and short.

When you sign up for mysurvey.com, you can enter information for every member of your family, and they will send survey invitations to every member of your family, providing more opportunities to earn money.

You will be given a short screener survey to see if you qualify for a longer survey. If you do not qualify for the longer survey, you will still be awarded a little bit for your time to take the screener survey. If you do qualify to take the longer survey, you will be awarded more points depending on how long the survey is.

Rewards are given in the form of points, which can be redeemed for charitable donations, prizes, gift cards, or cash! I usually select the cash reward. It only takes 1000 points to earn $10, which really does not take long at all if you take every survey they send you.

Ingles: Triple Coupons July 19 - 25

I don't shop at Ingles much because their sales just never seem to be as good as the other stores. It is also very frustrating to have the policy of a minimum $10 order for every 3 coupons doubled/tripled.

However, since Saving Your Cents and Southern Savers have both done all the work putting together some great lists, I may stop in this week to grab a few things.

Saving Your Cents has some very helpful information on how to make the most of the $10 minimum order policy. $1.99 a pound for boneless, skinless chicken breast is my target price, and since it is on sale this week, I plan to stock up a bit to run my total up. Then I'll choose which coupons I want to triple.

Pullups has come out with a new product: Pullups flushable wipes. These used to be called Huggies Cleanteam wipes. The softpacks of wipes (42 count) are just $1.64 at Wal-Mart. Arby's: Free Roast Beef Sandwich Coupon on Receipts

Have you been getting your Arby's freebies on Wednesdays this summer? Don't throw away your receipt because on the back there is a coupon for a free Roast Beef sandwich or free Beef N' Cheddar. This coupon has been on the back of receipt the last 3 times I have been there. All you need to do is call the number on the coupon or go to the web address they have listed and take a short survey. You will receive a validation code to write on the coupon, and then redeem it for your free sandwich.

I have been getting the free sandwiches and then getting another coupon on my receipt to get another free sandwich. The only stipulation is that you may only take the survey once per week.

I don't know how long this promotion will last, but I have a feeling I'll be eating a lot of Arby's sandwiches until it does!

Friday's Favorite Finds

Friday's Favorite Finds is a weekly post sharing products that I've either: - found to be worth a little extra money, or - that are amazingly inexpensive for their quality.

In either case, I'll always share ways to save even more money on these great products!

Now, on to today's Favorite Find: Pampers Swaddlers

Anticipating the arrival of our second child has made me start thinking about the need this little one will have for diapers. With our first child, we exclusively used Pampers Swaddlers when he was a newborn. We bought another brand once, and we absolutely could not wait until the pack was gone! We didn't know how spoiled we had been with the Swaddlers.

Why we thought they were so great:

1. Our baby's diapers almost never leaked, even at night. The only times we had leaks were when, in our blurry-eyed middle-of-the-night changes we simply did not get the diaper fastened tightly.

2. The stretchy side tabs and elastic leg holes make them easy to conform to your baby's exact size and shape.

3. Although I never personally tried them on, I would assume they were comfortable to the baby! They are extremely absorbent, so even when he was wet he didn't fuss or act uncomfortable.

If I had to describe Pampers Swaddlers in a very concise format, it would be this: Sanity Savers!

When we tried using the other diapers, my husband and I were both very frustrated for several reasons. We had to change the baby's diaper a lot more frequently to prevent leaks. We had to jiggle and wiggle the diaper around to try to coax a good fit out of it. I would guess that even though the actual price we paid was less than that of the Pampers, the cheaper diapers probably ended up costing more in the long run because we had to change them so much more often.

Although Pampers Swaddlers is what I would classify as a premium brand of diapers. There are actually plenty of opportunities to get them for much less than premium prices.

I have personally bought Pampers through all of the following avenues and have saved a great deal through each method.

1. Drugstore deals. If you are new to shopping CVS or Walgreens, you can check out the tutorials here and here that will help you learn how to get amazing deals at both of these places. I save up my CVS Extracare Bucks and my Walgreens Register Rewards and use them to buy diapers when I need them. Don't forget to use Pampers coupons! Most of the time that a Procter & Gamble brandsaver insert comes out in the Sunday paper there will be a Pampers coupon in it.

2. Amazon.com. If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you will have heard me talking about Swagbucks. You can win Swagbucks every time you search the web, and then redeem them for prizes. My favorite prize to redeem them for is Amazon gift cards. I then use the gift cards to purchase diapers from Amazon.com. You can learn more about Swagbucks here.

3. Diapers.com. Diapers.com offers great prices on their Pampers products, and they frequently have them on sale. Right now they also have an e-coupon on their site that will take another $2 off a pack of Pampers. Plus, to get even better prices, you should order through Cashbaq or Ebates. Both of these cashback sites offer 1% cashback on your Diapers.com purchases, plus they both have coupon codes available for $10 off and free shipping on any order $49 or more. Plus, both sites offer a $5 sign-up bonus to new members.

Just sign up for Ebates or Cashbaq (or log into your existing account), locate Diapers.com on the list of stores, and click on it. You'll see a list of the available coupon codes for Diapers.com. Click on the one you wish to use, make your purchase at Diapers.com, and wait for your account to be credited with your cash back (plus your $5 bonus if you're a new member).


These methods of buying Pampers have saved us a lot of money, and the Pampers themselves have saved us a lot of sanity!
