Fuzzibunz (Review)

The only cloth diapers I have ever used were the "old fashioned" kind that a boy a used to babysit wore. When I found out Fuzzibunz would be sending me a Perfect Size Diaper and a One Size Diaper to review as part of the Virtual Baby Shower, I wasn't quite sure what to expect.

I was very pleasantly surprised! These diapers are nothing like the cloth diapers I used to change! No folding, no pinning, no funny plastic pants. These diapers are made to fit the baby and are completely adjustable with snaps. The outside material is waterproof, but yet it's a very soft material. I am amazed at how soft the insides of these diapers are! They make even the softest disposable diapers seem like sandpaper. There is a pocket in the back where you can place an extra insert into the diaper to make it extra absorbent. And it is super absorbent! When I changed my son's wet diaper, it took me a minute to figure out if he was really wet or not. The only way I could tell was that the diaper felt a little heavier than I remembered it feeling when I had put it on him. I couldn't even detect an odor of urine because the diaper had absorbed the odor so well!

The Perfect Size Diaper was still just a little bit big for my newborn, but it won't be long until she fills out enough for it to fit snugly on her, especially since the snaps can be adjusted pretty tightly. I did let her wear it a little bit even though it was too big just to see how she reacted to it as opposed to her disposables. It did seem like she let me know a lot sooner if she was wet when she wore the cloth diaper, which is a good thing because she is already showing herself to be prone to diaper rash and needs to stay as dry as possible.

The One Size Diaper is made to fit children all the way from newborn through toddler. What a great way to save money for those looking to cloth-diaper their children! That way you won't have to keep buying new sets of cloth diapers as your children grow. The legs are made with adjustable elastic and you can just keep loosening the elastic as your baby gets bigger. And there are plenty of snaps on the front to be able to adjust the diaper as tightly or loosely as you need to. The One Size Diaper was still too big for my newborn, but I was able to fit it onto her big brother just fine. I don't think it will be long before she can wear it. (No, my children won't be sharing diapers; I was just curious how well it would fit the range of sizes!)
