Baby Signs (Review and Giveaway) (Winner Announced)

This giveaway is now closed.

The random winner is...

#26, Carey

Carey, I have emailed you letting you know you won. Please respond within 48 hours or another winner will be drawn.

I never tried teaching my first child sign language other than the word "please." Looking back, I can see how it would have made life a lot easier at times if I had. I hate that feeling when I know my child is asking for something but I'm just not sure what it is. Teaching him a few simple signs would have eliminated that problem.

Baby Signs sent me a copy of their Signs at a Glance Flip Guide to review. Although my newborn isn't quite old enough to need it yet, I'll definitely be keeping it handy for when she gets a little bit older.

What I liked:

There are 86 signs in the flip guide, all of which would be very helpful for a young child to communicate to his parents. Words like "banana", "dirty", "help","out", and "water" are all included and are words that would have made my life a little easier if my little boy had known them when he was younger. It has magnets on the back so you can stick it to the fridge and have it easily accessible. All the words are in alphabetical order so that it's easy to find the word you're looking for.

What I'd change:

I thought some of the pictures were a little hard to tell exactly how to do the sign. It wasn't a problem for me since I already know sign language, but parents who don't have any background in sign language may find some of the pictures confusing.

Enter to win:

Baby Signs is giving my readers the chance to win their own Signs at a Glance Flip Guide.
