Frenchy Baby Organics sent me this adorable little onsie to review as part of the Virtual Baby Shower. Yes, I know it's too big for my little girl. Yes, I realize she's not wearing any pants. And no, I'm not spelling the word "onsie" wrong.
The onsie is a 0-3 month size and my little girl is still wearing newborn size clothes. I didn't have any pants that matched. And look for yourself, that's really how they spell "onsie".

I know this will look really cute on her when she actually fits into it! And the cotton is so soft!

I learned something new, though, when I got this in the mail. There was a note enclosed letting me know that this would shrink a lot when I washed it because it wasn't treated with formaldehyde. FORMALDEHYDE?!!? They treat clothes with formaldehyde?! I did a little research and found out that, yes, most new clothes are treated with formaldehyde. Manufacturers believe that it helps keep the clothes wrinkle-free and also acts as a disinfectant. But from what I've always understood, formaldehyde is basically poison. It's used in preserving dead animals! And the formaldehyde used in new clothing could make your skin react or even cause cancer given enough exposure to it.

Organic clothing like Frenchy Baby Organics sells is NOT treated with formaldehyde. That fact keeps me from not only getting grossed out, but organic cotton is actually softer and more durable too since it has not been weakened by undergoing chemical processes.
