Time Buddy Review (Plus an Extra Entry in the Grand Prize Giveaway)

I love being mommy to a toddler, but there are certain aspects of toddlerhood that can make me a little frustrated. One of those is the fact that my little guy does not have a good concept of time.

Little Bear: "When are we going to eat lunch?"
Me: "Not for another hour."
Several minutes later...

Little Bear: "Is it time for lunch yet?"
Me: "No, an hour is a long time."
But, really, how do you explain what "a long time" means? A long time could be a month, a day, an hour. When a toddler doesn't understand time, it's hard to explain those things to him.

Enter the TimeBuddy.

TimeBuddy helps children understand the concept of time and learn daily routines as well.

Here's how it works:
  • Customize the TimeBuddy by adding interchangeable stickers to a 24 hours. Use the stickers that will best represent your child's daily routine.
  • TimeBuddy also plays a message for your child when he presses the button on the front. This message can be personalized with your child's name or you can record your own message.
  • The child can see based on where the clock hand is what activity will be next.
  • Parents can also set up to 3 alarms per day for their child to remind him of certain activities or responsibilities that need to be performed.
Little Bear loves his TimeBuddy and gets a big kick out of pressing the button on the front and hearing his name that was recorded in his own voice.
Mommy loves the TimeBuddy too because now the beginning conversation sounds like this:

Little Bear: "When are we going to eat lunch?"
Me: "Well, what does TimeBuddy say?"
Little Bear, looking at the big red hand on the TimeBuddy: "It's almost time!"

Then he skips away, waiting patiently until lunch (for the most part.) It's so much nicer to do it this way than to have him ask every few minutes.

Buy it: You can purchase TimeBuddy online for $34.99

joyceetal@hotmail.com My daughter's nephew is having a really difficult time with time right now. His Mom is in Afghanistan, and he "knew" she was going away for a long time, but his long time is very different than ours. He was ok for a week or two, but then his thinking was like"ok that's long enough now folks". So he's having a hard time, but that clock could really help. I'll like you on FB.too.
