Wanchai Ferry Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed. The winner, chosen by random.org is...

#28, Veronica S.

I've seen Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees in the store, and I've always been rather curious if they were any good. When the folks at MyBlogSpark asked if I'd be interested in trying one of the dinners, I happily agreed.

I was able to try out Wanchai Ferry's very first beef dish, Beef & Broccoli.

What I liked:
  • I loved the ease of having a nice Asian meal without having to do all the work to make it from scratch. I just had to pour it into the pan and cook it for a short time before it was ready. (According to the package it cooks for 14 minutes.)
  • The taste was actually better than I expected. Many times Asian food seems a bit overpowering to me, but I thought the taste was very mild.
  • No MSG! I strongly prefer that my foods not contain MSG, and I was happy to see that Wanchai Ferry entrees cater to that preference.
What I'd change:
  • I would like it if there were just a little more in each package. These meals do say that they are "for two", and there was enough for my husband and me, but that was it. I was hoping there would be just a little to spare so we could share with our 2 year old, but there was none to spare.
Buy it:

  • Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees are available at most major grocery stores. Make sure you use this printable coupon for $1.60 off. Check out the new Beef & Broccoli flavor, or try one to the two additional new flavors - Kung Pao Chicken or Szechuan Style Chicken.
Win it:
  • One of my readers will win a Wanchai Ferry frozen entree along with two tea sets. To enter, just leave your name and email address.

This giveaway will close on July 10.

Disclosure: MyBlogSpark and Wanchai Ferry provided me with a Wanchai Ferry frozen entree and two tea sets in exchange for my honest review. They will also be providing the giveaway prize. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
