Harris Teeter Shopping

I have gone twice to Harris Teeter since they started their Super Double coupons. I didn't think I was going to like it as well as triples, but it's actually been just as good if not better! Here's what I've gotten so far:Trip #1

2 packs Deer Park water - $1.75 each
3 Oscar Mayer Deli Creations - FREE
2 Bumble Bee tuna packs - FREE
2 boxes Mini-Wheats - FREE
1 box Kashi bars - $.29
1 box Hefty bags - $.50
1 can Hot Shot - FREE
3 cartons Activia yogurt - FREE
2 bottles Pert Plus - FREE
2 Wholly Guacamole - FREE
2 Wholly Salsa - FREE (used "buy Guacamole, get Salsa free" coupon)
1 Starbucks ice cream - FREE

Total before coupons: $53.42
Total after coupons: $4.38
Plus, there was also a Try Me Free rebate on the Men's Pert Plus, so I'll get back $1.63 for that, making my total $2.75.

Trip #2

2 boxes Mini-Wheats - FREE
1 can Hot Shot- FREE
2 Oscar Mayer Deli Creations - FREE
1 Tropicana OJ - $1.49
2 Borden Singles Sensations - FREE
2 Blue Bunny Ice Cream - $.99 each
1 box Kashi bars - $.29
1 Starbucks ice cream - FREE
8 Kraft cheese - $6
Total before coupons: $49.00
Total after coupons: $9.96
Plus I received a $2 catalina for the
cheese, making my total $7.96.

One thing that has been nice is that Harris Teeter now has their system set up where they truly only allow 20 coupons per household per day. Once you've reached your 20 coupon limit, the register knows and will automatically stop doubling. If you have a 2nd card from the same address, the register will not double coupons on it either. The reason I say that it is nice is that it prevents people from getting more than they are supposed to, thus leaving some stuff in stock for the rest of us! I've never understand why people feel as if the 20 per household policy does not apply to them.

What do you think? Do you feel like there has been more in stock this time around now that people can't get around the 20 coupon limit?
