Bissell ProHeat 2x Review and Facebook #Giveaway

How clean does your vacuum get your carpet? Sure, your carpet probably looks fine after you vacuum, but how much residual dirt is left that has been ground down deep into the carpet? Over time that dirt will wear down your carpet and can make it look dingy.

Bissell sent me a ProHeat 2x Deep Cleaner and invited me to take the "White Sock Test" and find out just how dirty my carpet really was.

Here's a video of what I found. (I'm sorry it's blurry and not very loud. My camera is new and I'm still figuring it all out!)

When I dumped out the dirty water, there was a lovely layer of dirt covering the bottom of the sink once all the water went down the drain. There was even a bug that had been pulled up from the depths of the carpet! As I mentioned in the video, there were some stains on my carpet that I didn't even bother to pre-treat. (And might I add that they were really old, really dark stains.) Although they're not 100% gone, they're not nearly as noticeable anymore. I'm pretty sure that if I'd taken a little time to spot treat them before using the Bissell I would have been able to get rid of them altogether.

The ProHeat 2x Deep Cleaner retails for $199 and will pay for itself in just a few uses when you consider the cost of renting a carpet cleaner.

So, how dirty is your carpet? Take the White Sock Test and upload a photo to http://www.facebook.com/Bissell to be entered for a chance to win a $15,000 home makeover! Plus, be sure to visit Bissell's Facebook page daily because they'll be giving away lots of instant-win prizes, including Visa Gift Cards and Bissell deep cleaning systems!
