Swaddle Designs Swaddle Duo Review {Everything Mom and Baby Event Sponsor}

Both of my children loved to be swaddled, and I'm sure my third will not be an exception when he is born. The Swaddle Duo is a new addition to the Swaddle Designs product line. One blanket is made from cotton flannel and the other is made of cotton marquisette fabric. (Cotton what? That's what I said too.) The cotton marquisette fabric is very similar to muslin - it's light, airy, and perfect for warm temperatures.

What I like:

  • Both blankets are very generously sized, giving plenty of material to make sure the baby stays snug.
  • There is a 1 2 3 Swaddle tag on the blankets, with pictorial reminders of the three steps to a correct swaddle. This is especially nice for a first time mom who is still getting the hang of swaddling.
  • The cotton flannel is high-quality flannel that does not get ratty looking after a few washes. Although I haven't used my new one yet since my little boy is not due until August, I used one of these for my daughter too. We've gotten plenty of use out of it with her, and it is still in very good shape.
  • I love having the option of choosing either the lighter or warmer fabric. Here in North Carolina, you never know what the whether will do from one day to the next. With the Swaddle Duo, I'll have the appropriate weight of blanket on hand no matter what the weather.
What I don't like:

  • I can honestly say there is nothing that I dislike about these blankets. They are high quality and a very nice "baby basic" to have on hand.

Since Swaddle Designs is committed to safe sleep for baby, they have come up with what they call the Goldilocks Guide. "Baby should not be too hot or too cold, but just right ~ comfortably warm." That is why the Swaddle Duo is so handy. Parents have the ability to choose the right blanket for their baby to keep them at a comfortable temperature.
