Tie Buddies Review (Plus 2 Extra Entries in the Grand Prize Giveaway)

Another product we examined at our Product Review Party were Tie Buddies. Tie Buddies were designed to teach children how to tie their own shoes easily.

I was very eager to find out how these worked since I have a little boy who is just about to "shoe-tying age".

When I first read the instructions I said, "Huh? This is more complicated than tying your shoes the regular way." But once I figured it out, it was pretty simple. Basically Tie Buddies create the loops for your child; all they have to do is the crossing under part. When they're finished, their shoelaces will look like the picture above.

I like how Tie Buddies really simplifies the process of tying shoes for children. I'm learning that the more a young child can do for himself, the faster everyone gets out the door when it's time to go somewhere!

The only thing I don't like is that Tie Buddies don't truly teach a child how to tie his shoes. Eventually he will have to learn to make the loops himself. But if you really need your young child to be able to dress himself head to toe, Tie Buddies will definitely help with the shoe-tying part.
