Simple Green Naturals Review (Plus an Extra Entry in the Grand Prize Giveaway)

We had a little bit of discussion about the Simple Green Naturals line at our Product Review Party. Ellen from Fabulous Finds for Families had been trying out the floor cleaner and the liquid hand soap. Here's what she had to say:

Floor cleaner
  • Easy to use - I just sprayed it on sections of my hard wood floor and used a damp microfiber mop to wipe.
  • The mop glided easily over the floor.
  • Since it can be used on all types of floors I moved right into another room that had tile on the floor and began cleaning there too.
  • I was impressed with how much dirt the mop picked up and how clean the floor looked.
  • I really like the scent - fresh clean scent that was not overpowering.
  • Usually I will dry my floor with a dry rag so as not to leave streaks. I purposely let my floor dry by itself to see how this would do. I was happy to see a streak free floor with no drying. Yeah!
  • My hard wood floor was not as shiny as it is when I use the cleaner that was specified for it.
  • I would check the manufacturers instructions for your specific floor. Some hard wood floors are only supposed to use certain cleaners.
Liquid Hand Soap

What I liked:
  • It is thick and you don’t need a lot.
  • It cleans well.
What I don’t like:
  • the smell - the smell is too manly for me, more like something my husband would use to clean with when he gets “really dirty”. It is just too strong of a smell
  • But that is not a big deal. I will just put it in the mudroom on the sink for him to use. It surely won’t go to waste.

Meanwhile I was trying out the Multi-Purpose cleaner and the dish soap. I love the Multi-purpose cleaner because I can use it to clean anything and I know that whatever I'm cleaning is being disinfected. I love knowing that I'm using non-toxic cleaner and I don't have to worry about my children being around while I'm cleaning. It has done a good job on anything I've cleaned with it.

The dish liquid was not my favorite because it seemed a little thin to me. I felt like I had to use a little more to get the amount of suds that I like.

The bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, and carpet cleaner we saved to give away as one of the prizes at the party. Here's what impresses me based on the packaging: the bathroom cleaner is meant for typical bathroom alkaline soils, the glass cleaner is alcohol and ammonia free, and, as are all of Simple Green's products, the carpet cleaner is non-toxic as well.

We prefer to use non-toxic cleaning products as often as possible, but the trick is finding something chemical-free that actually works. We were happy with all the Simple Green products we tried and would definitely recommend the Simple Green Naturals line.
