Walgreens $5 off $25 - Now through August 8!

*Thanks to STL Mommy for letting us know that the printable $5 off $25 coupon for Walgreens is now valid through August 8! You still have time to use this scenario or check out some of the other scenarios in the linky.*

*Edit:* I wanted to clarify a couple things. First, the cereal Register Reward is only $2, not $5, which would make this scenario an $8.41 moneymaker rather than $11.41 like I originally stated. Thanks to those who caught that mistake and let me know. Also, some of you are wondering how to submit for both the Kellogg's rebate and the Try Me Free rebate on the Vitamin Shampoo since you'll need an original receipt for both. You can ask the cashier to print you a rebate receipt at the register, and that will allow you to have 2 receipts, one for each rebate.

There's a Walgreens coupon here for $5 off a $25 purchase. The coupon is valid Wednesday and Thursday, August 5 & 6, only. Your order must be $25 AFTER all other coupons. Here's a moneymaker scenario that only requires one set of Sunday coupons:

2 packages Keebler cookies = $4
2 packages Rice Krispies treats =$4
2 packages Pop Tarts = $4
2 packages Nutri grain bars = $5
2 boxes Kellogg's cereal = $5
1 Vitamin Shampoo = $3.99
1 GUM toothbrush = $3.49
2 $.29 School Supplies = $.58
Total = $30.06
Minus $1 Keebler coupon from 8/2 Kellogg's insert
Minus $1 Rice Krispies coupon from 8/2 Kellogg's insert
Minus $1 Pop Tarts coupon from 8/2 Kellogg's insert
Minus $1 Nutri Grain coupon from 8/2 Kellogg's insert
Minus $1 Kellogg's cereal from 8/2 Kellogg's insert
Total = $25.06
Minus $5 off $25 = $20.06

Get back $5 Register Rewards for Kellogg's/Keebler products; $5 for Kellogg's cereal, $3.99 for Vitamin Shampoo, $3.49 for GUM toothbrush. Plus I'll be able to submit for $10 Fuel for School rebate (found in the 8/2 Kellogg's insert), and $3.99 for the Try Me Free rebate on the Vitamin Shampoo. Final total = Moneymaker of $11.41

I'd love to see your scenarios too! I'm going to put up a McLinky if anyone wants to link their scenarios here!

Anon,
The Try Me Free rebate hangs around the neck of some of the shampoo bottles. Some have found them at Walgreens, but I actually found mine at Rite Aid.

I've heard that you can request a rebate reciept so that you would have two receipts - the original and the rebate receipt.

How do you come up with $5 for the cereal? My ad has $2RR, not $5?

Its only a $2RR for cereal. I wish it was $5 that would be FREE cereal plus a MM.

I can't find the Gum $1 from the 6/21 RP. I have 7 copies and it's not in any. Was that a regional deal?

I knew I had to be adding something wrong, but couldn't figure out what it was. Yes, it's only $2 RR for the cereal, which makes the scenario $9.41 moneymaker instead.
You should be able to ask them to print a rebate receipt for you. Then you'll have a receipt for each rebate.
I don't know anything about a GUM coupon. I suppose some regions could have gotten one.

I'm heading to Walgreens this afternoon to try this scenario. I'm hoping to end up with lots of lunchbox treats!

Thanks for this scenario. They were out of the toothbrushes so got a rain check for that. I bought everything else plus a back pack that was on sale for $5.00 (to replace the toothbrush.) Didn't have a shampoo try me rebate either. I spent $.55 for all. I'm happy with that. By the way it would be $8.41 moneymaker not $9.41 - still a great deal :)

I bought the Vitamin Shampoo and Conditioner at the same time. Since I only got 1 RR for $3.99, I returned the Conditioner and bought it again for the additional RR. I also bought 2 Kellogg/Keebler products and 2 Kellogg cereals at the same time. I did not notice until later that I did not get the 2nd RR, so I will go back to the store tomorrow to see if I need to return/purchase to get the addition $5 RR.

They make us work for these RR's. I think we earn them.
