Friday's Favorite Finds

Every so often I get the chance to try out new products via "free coupons", samples of the item, or just a really good sale. Sometimes the products are a little expensive, but I like them so much that I'm willing to spend a little more on them. On the other hand, sometimes it turns out that the brand I prefer of a particular item is one of the less expensive ones in its field. Friday's Favorite Finds is a weekly post sharing products that I've either: - found to be worth a little extra money, or - that are amazingly inexpensive for their quality. In either case, I'll always share a way to get the product for less than you would normally have to pay for it.

Now, on to today's Favorite Find:

Thanks to Kraft, I was able to try out a box of their Bagel-fuls via 5 Minutes for Mom.

I was quite excited to open the mail and find a coupon for a free box of Kraft Bagel-fuls. So excited, in fact, that I went to the store to get them that very night. However, I didn't realize what I dilemma I would face. I made my way to the freezer section, found the breakfast aisle, and fairly quickly found the Bagel-fuls. "Okay, I'll just grab a box and be on my way...oh, wait, there's more flavors...oh, wait, there's more flavors." Just that was enough to impress me. I like it when I've got some options. But how in the world was I supposed to choose just one flavor from tempting choices like Cinnamon Brown Sugar, Strawberry & Cream Cheese, Blueberry, and Apple Cinnamon & Cream Cheese? (There are actually nine flavors in all. Click here to see them all.)

I finally decided on the Strawberry & Cream Cheese variety. I was going to be all creative and take pictures of myself trying them out, but I was fortunate that I even got one! My husband discovered them in the refrigerator, and devoured all but one!

I thought it was neat that I could store them in the refrigerator. Usually frozen foods say "KEEP FROZEN" on the box. I always think the people who made it don't know what they're talking about and put it in the refrigerator anyway, and then my food is ruined. But, I can keep Bagel-fuls in the refrigerator and it's actually okay! There are instructions for heating 1. Freezer to microwave, 2. Refrigerator to microwave, 3. Freezer to toaster, and 4. Refrigerator to toaster.

I chose to microwave the one that I ate, mainly because I was in a hurry to try it, and toasters take longer. When I bit into it, I kind of felt like I was at one of those fancy doughnut shops eating something really expensive. The strawberry and cream cheese filling oozed out just enough to be gooey, but not so much that it went everywhere and got all over my fingers.

For somebody as cheap frugal as I am, I felt that the retail price of $3.18 for a box of 4 was a little hefty, but when do I ever pay retail price for anything? I'd buy these again for a quick, fun breakfast as long as they were on sale. And, of course, I don't buy anything without a coupon, so I'd use this $1 printable coupon that's available on the Kraft website.
